By Car

For most visitors, a car is the most practical way to reach Doboj.

The city sits at the crossing point of major roads connecting the north and south of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why it's often a stopover for travellers heading between Central Europe and the Adriatic coast.

Rough driving times:

• Sarajevo: about 150 km (around 2 hours)
• Banja Luka: about 105 km (around 1 hour 15 minutes)
• Tuzla: about 65 km (around 1 hour)
• Belgrade: about 220 km (around 3 hours)
• Zagreb: about 280 km (around 3.5 hours)

Travel time naturally depends on traffic and any delays at border crossings.

By Bus

Doboj is connected by bus to most major cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as many cities in Serbia, Croatia, Germany, Austria, and other European countries. In summer, the number of international departures increases further as the diaspora travels home for the holidays.

The bus station is close to the centre, so most hotels, apartments, and other amenities are reachable on foot or with a short taxi ride.
